#8 Lindsay Smith Rogers Branding Portraits

I got a juicy text from Lindsay @lindsaysmithrogers mid-summer asking me if I could fit her in for a brand portrait shoot.

The text was plump and juicy for a few reasons. It meant I got to 1) see her, 2) check out her new Canton home, 3) shriek with delight at seeing how much her baby boy had grown, 4) spot and at least attempt to pet her two precious kitty cats, and 5) take a set of art-forward portraits of my super smart and talented friend.

I set out to make bright, powerful, colorful (and some b/w) higher contrast photos of her. I wanted to show Lindsay's bold and inspiring personality.

She’s all about engaging people in thinking in new ways and deep-diving into new ideas.

This isn't a studio or a rented home. Most of the portraits I took with a mix of window light and one key-light set up in her son's room. We pushed a dresser and a diaper pail out of the way, wiped a few crayon drawings off the wall, pulled the blinds as high as they could go and got to work.

As the producer and host of Public Health On Call, @publichealthpod a podcast out of Johns Hopkins, she's a pretty big deal (and she's always has been). She's choosing interviewees and pulling in experts that educate listeners about public health issues and makes knowing about them both relevant and cool in a way few other people could pull off. I think these photos show just a glimmer of her splendor.

See more about her here and meet her if you can. She’s a freakin STAR. ⭐. https://publichealth.jhu.edu/headlines/public-health-on-call-podcast
