When Katie @katiepumphreyart asked me to photograph her paintings at her @creativealliancebaltimore art show this summer, I was smitten.

This gal is so talented and an absolute hoot to be around. She's an ultra-marathon swimmer and a painter of humongous paintings that make you rethink your relationship with water and what stories unfold below, and above, the horizon line.

She dazzles you with her color accuracy her passion and respect for the great painters who came before us. I got to spend a few days with her paintings taking detail shots of each painting and full size images for her upcoming catalog.
